I want to hear all of Mahler

I have been to a concert today. As it is still difficult to get tickets for the Elbphilharmonie I had to listen to the Elbphilharmonie Orchestra in Vienna 😉

They played the piano concert in c minor of Mozart and Mahler 5. Of course I have been there for Mahler. Nevertheless, the piano concert was excellent.

It was played by Piotr Anderszewski whom I did not know. It was very interesting to compare his way of playing the piano to the Ladies yesterday. While they played very energetic he seemed to barely touch the piano.

Mahler was fantastic. Such a great dynamic in this symphony. I have to hear it again. And now I want to hear all of his symphonies!

And what also happened this evening: I ordered some food and drink for the interval. But when I came to my table someone else was already enjoying my order. What do people think? That the food was placed there magically? Of course I would have given them food if they would have asked me. But so they bought it again for me. And no: that weren’t poor people from the street but other visitors to the concert.
