My Accompaniment was also very impressed

Yesterday I was accompanied by my best friend, her husband and her two children for the show. I was really excited to see, how they would like it. At least she had seen the show before (actually Fox‘ last night) and she thought her whole family should see this musical.

It was the same cast as on Thursday matinee (Dean, Joe, Emily) and they were fantastic again! The audience was also were appreciative (no complaints this time) with a lot of intermediate applause.

I found the whole performance very emotional. Dean absolutely lives up to his name as senior Billy! His acting was so brlliant. His dancing phenomenal and his singing great. He actually cried during „The Letter“ and so did I and certainly half of the audience. I haven’t seen that since Tom left. The second half was even more emotional, starting with the folk song and then an absolutely stunning performance of „Dream Ballet“. Wonderful. „The Letter Reprise“ left everyone in tears again.

Joe was great, too! At „Express Yourself“, when Billy shouts out, he first turned around to see, what could have brought up Billy’s attention. Joe was wonderfully suprised, that it was him in women’s clothing. Excellent winter scene! Joe waited really long after his confession, before he turned around. Very effective! And when Billy left him at the end, he had tears in his eyes. Best performance I have seen of Joe so far!

My accompaniment was also very impressed and I will have to go again today!
