The show today was quite different from what I have seen so far: Les Miserables. The set was really good with some strong pictures. And at the beginning I really loved the music. But then I had to realize that they were using it over and over again and after the interval it really started to get boring. Also the cast wasn’t very good; some of them were good but some of them were just miserable – maybe this is where the show got its name from.
But the worst part was the audience. I wished the theaters would put up big signs on what to do in a theater and what not to do. Making loud noise is clearly on the not to do list and also bringing food and drinks in the audience room! But maybe you need this kind of audience to make this shallow show the longest running musical in London.
