Siegfried straightened

Today we heard the second part of the Ring Trilogy, Siegfried.

It consisted of large parts of the first Act of Walküre and obviously a lot of Siegfried. They straightened it a bit but it was nevertheless nearly 4 hours of music.

This piece included on of my favorite scenes where Siegfried forges his sword. Of course the setting was completely different so there was no forging on stage. Singing and acting was again brilliant!

What is interesting to see is that it really works that you get a different impression of the characters and you can understand them better if you have the focus on them. Definitely an interesting production so far!
