I have been to the remembrance concert yesterday in Dresden. As always the Kreuzchor sang first „was liegt die Stadt so wüst“ of Mauersberger. As always that was very intense.
The main part of the concert was the requiem of Mozart. The solists were excellent and the choir got better during the second half of the concert. While I enjoyed parts of the concert very much, I must nevertheless say that Mozart‘s music doesn’t touch me as much as that of other composers.
It was a very good concert but I am looking forward to St. Matthew Passion.
