Brenda is brillant as Almira

On Saturday I have been to the opera in Frankfurt. They played „La Sonnambula“ by Bellini. I had seen that production already two years ago and I really liked it!

The last time the title role was sung by Brenda Rae and so it was this time also. But the last time she was heavily pregnant and it was one of the very few cases when there were standing ovations in Frankfurt opera. Well, this time she did not get standing ovations but an enormous applause nonetheless. She is brillant in the role of Almira!

All in all a very light opera, nice music, excellent singers and a fantastic orchestra.
