I’ve just heard „Ein Deutsches Requiem“ (a German Requiem) of Brahms sung by the Dresdner Kreuzchor.
It was recorded for a CD production and you could not only feel the tension among the singers and musicians, but also among the audience. It was perfect.
Today’s Sunday in Germany is commemorating the dead. And as a friend has put it: there is no better way of putting this Sunday into music than Brahms did.
I am really looking forward to this CD!
