I have been to the Musikverein and listened to the Vienna symphony orchestra together with Jasminka Stancul playing Beethoven and Prokofjew.
At first I was not too happy to go to this concert. Then I realized that I bought these tickets especially to try the seat – and the seat was perfect. But when I sat in the concert hall all doubts were gone. I enjoyed the concert so much!
The first piece of Beethoven was not well known. The Overture to Coriolan. The second piece was the 3rd piano concert in c minor. And the pianist was wonderful. She got so much applause that she played some piece of Schubert as encore.
The second half of the concert was a mixture of the two first suites of Romeo and Juliette. It was amazing! I remember to have seen the ballet once and it was boring. But today it was just fantastic. The music is so descriptive that the pictures of the story develop before your eyes.
I am glad to have experienced this concert!
