Swan Lake in Sydney

This morning I had a fabulous backstage tour at the Sydney Opera house. During this tour I also stayed on the stage where Swan Lake should have been performed in the evening; that was in the Joan Sutherland Theater respectively the opera stage. So I thought it would have been a good idea to get some tickets for the evening performance.

I don’t have much experience with ballet, I must say. I have seen Swan Lake many years ago and besides that only Romeo and Juliet in Vienna and some modern dance pieces. I do know the music, though. And that was wonderful and also wonderful performed tonight.

I did like the production, but as I said I don’t have much experience with ballet and the lady beneath me said, the production was boring. At least we agreed, that the dancing was very good, especially from the top cast. So I can say I did enjoy the evening very much.
