Mrs. Argerich is one of the most renowned pianists

I have been to a concert today in the Vienna Konzerthaus. Martha Argerich and Lilya Zilberstein played a piano duet. First part was Robert Schumann.

I was never a big fan of Schumann and also today I consider this the weakest part. Then they played Franz Liszt and after the break Sergej Rachmaninoff.

Mrs. Argerich is one of the most renowned pianists in the world and very famous for her Rachmaninoff interpretations. Nevertheless, my highlight was the concerto pathetique of Liszt for two pianos. It was simply amazing!

Of course the symphonic dances of Rachmaninoff were excellent as well! At the end they got a full standing ovation and honored us with two encores.

One of them I found on YouTube of course a much older recording and also not a very good quality. But maybe it gives you an impression of the concert today.
